Deacon Edgar Warner Lee

   On Wednesday, January 17, 2001, at 3:40 ante meridiem, our beloved Edgar Warner "Bud" Lee departed this life peacefully at his residence in Kinsale, Virginia.

   Bud, the son of the late Howard and Narcissus Lee, was born, December 19, 1912 in Westmoreland County, Virginia.

   He was educated through the Westmoreland public schools. He was a very talented and skillful worker, which he instilled in his children and grandchildren.

   He joined Potomac Baptist church at a young age. He served as an usher, janitor, and trustee. In the year 1973, he was made a deacon. He served as a deacon faithfully until his illness.

     He was joined in marriage first to the late Elizabeth McCoy Lee and to that union was born one son, Edward M. Lee.

   Later he was united to Sarah D. Lee and to this union was born twin daughters, Peggy Lee Samuel and Barbara Lee Brooks. One son, Edgar Warner "Buddy" Lee, preceded him in death at three months and ten days old.

   Bud leaves cherishing his memory, his devoted wife, Sarah D. Lee; twin daughters: Peggy Lee Samuel and Barbara Lee Brooks of Kinsale; two sisters: Lillian Dowling, of Baltimore, Maryland and Betty McCoy of Callao, Virginia; sons: Edward Lee of Baltimore and Wilbur Dameron of Montross, Virginia; daughters: Dawne Dameron of New York City, New York; Ireland Rowell of Arverne, New York; Shirley Dameron of Montross and Sarah D. Cooper of Germantown, Maryland; two sons-in-law: Franklin Samuel and Herbert Brooks of Kinsale; two daughters-in-law: Ada Dameron of Montross and Dorothy Dameron of Campsprings, Maryland; one sister-in-law, Rosetta Lee of Kinsale; twenty-nine grandchildren, fifty-four great grandchildren, a loyal neighbor, Jacquelyn Greene Campbell; a host of nephews, nieces, and friends.
